Screening of New Born and Infants for Hearing by OAE

The present study was carried out in the department of otorhinolaryngology at a Secondary health care institute, with aim screening new born (especially high risk) for hearing OAE (Oto Acoustic Emission test). Loss impairment auditory sense is most prevalent deficit all sensory organs. Hearing causes huge impact on one’s social, educational, and economic wellbeing. There are about 5 - 6 infants who have hard 1000 neonates. It over period 15 months (April 21 to July 22) association Paediatrics. 645 were screened by DPOAE (Distortion Product Oto Emission) test congenital impairment. 54 neonates showed “refer” our study. To decrease burden morbidity loss society, universal (UNBHS) policy concept diagnose treat earliest age affected child, because early detection remains primary element associated morbidity.
